BALUSHAHI

Ingredients

Balushahi:

 1: plain flour 2 cups

 2: ghee 6tbs

 3: yogurt chilled 4tbs

 4: baking soda 1/4ts

5: water 1tbs

 

 Syrup:

 1: sugar 2 cups

 2: water 1 cup

 3: almond and pistachio 12 each (crushed)

 

 

Instructions

  1. BALUSHAHI

     

     

     1: sieve plain flour, baking soda mix it.

     2: then add the ghee and mix it so it look like bread crumbs.

     3: now add the yogurt, water and mix it to a smooth dough, cover it with a damp cloth and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes.

     4: in a pan add water and sugar and make a 2 thread syrup and keep aside.

     5: now make small balls with the dough, press slightly and make a hole in the middle.

     6: heat oil add the dough pieces and cook on low flame till golden(the oil should not be boiling hot).

     7: then keep the fried balushahi in a sieve to drain extra oil and cool as well.

     8: warm the sugar syrup and add the balushahi and the keep in a sieve so that extra syrup in drained.

     9: garnish it with almond and pistachio.

     10: serve and enjoy.
