BASIC SPONGE CAKE

Ingredients

1: 110g butter

 2: 1 cup milk

 3: 2 tsp vanilla extract

 4: 4 eggs (room temperature)

 5: 2 cups sugar

 6: 2 cups plain flour

 7: 2 tsp baking powder

 8: bundt pan grease and flour

Instructions

  1. BASIC SPONGE CAKE

     1: separate the egg whites and yolks.

     2: beat egg whites till doubled in volume and stiff peaks form.

     3: then beat the yolks add the powder sugar little at a time till combined.

     4: add the yolk mixture to the beaten egg whites, beat again till combined.

     5: now add vanilla essences and fold.

     6: mix the plain flour, baking powder with a spoon, then add it to the egg mixture 1 tbsp at a time and fold well.

     7: in a large pot add salt metal bowl, preheat for 5 minutes on high flame.

     8: add the batter in the greased cake tin and place it in the preheated pot, cover and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or till  checked with a tooth pick comes out clean done, on low flame.

     9: leave to cool.

     10: cut and serve with tea coffee.
