TAWA NAAN

Ingredients

 1: plain flour 500g

 2: baking powder 2 tsp

 3: baking soda 1 tsp

 4: salt 1 tsp

 5: sugar 2 tsp

 6: yogurt 1 cup

 7: warm water 200ml

 8: oil 2 tbsp

 9: oil extra for greasing

 10:butter for greasing the naan

Instructions

  1. TAWA NAAN

     1: sieve plain flour then add baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar mix the dry ingredients.

     2: add the oil, yogurt mix it and then slowly add the water to make dough.

     3: now grease your hands to knead the dough, it will help from sticking to your hands, knead for 7 to 8 minutes, cover  and keep aside for 2 to 3 hours.

     4: after 2 to 3 hours knead the dough to remove any bubbles & make balls.

     5: heat the pan.

     6: roll the dough in plain flour and roll it flat round, oval or your choice.

     7: apply some water on one side of the naan.

     8: now put the rolled naan on the pan placing water side down and keep the flame on medium.

     9: when the naan starts to cook you will see bubbles popping up and change of colour, then flip the pan over and cook  the top side of the naan by moving the pan over the flame till gets brown colour, use a spatula to remove the naan.

     10: butter the naan and serve hot.
