MATAR GOSHT

Ingredients

1: mutton 1kg

2: frozen peas (matar) 1&1/2 cup

3: onion 1 large (grinned)

4: tomatoes 2 medium (grinned)

5: ginger & garlic paste 1tbs

6: salt 1ts (heaped)

7: red chilli powder 1ts

8: turmeric 1/2ts

9: coriander powder 1tbs

10:cumin powder 1tbs

11:dry fenugreek leaves 3tbs

12:garam masala powder 1ts

13:green chilli 3

14:oil 1 cup

 

 

Instructions

  1. MATAR GOSHT

     

     

    1: heat oil add onion, ginger&garlic paste and fry till changes colour on high flame.

    2: then add tomato, turmeric, salt, red chilli, coriander, cumin, water 1/4 cup mix well and cook on high flame till the oil comes on the surface.

    3: add the meat and cook till it changes colour on high flame, then add water 3 cups mix and wait for a boil on high flame, then cover and cook till the meat is cooked and oil comes on the surface on low to medium flame.

    4: now add frozen peas, water 2 large glass mix and cook for further 10 minutes cover on medium flame (can add more water if you like the curry thin).

    5: then add garam masala, green chilli, fenugreek leaves and simmer on low flame for 1 minute.

    6: serve hot with paratha, roti or rice.
