Ingredients

1: chicken 1-1/2 kg

2: oil 3/4 cup
 
3: water 1 glass
 
4: bell peppers 5 large (cut in cubes)
 
5: onions 2 large (sliced)
 
6: ginger & garlic paste 2-tbs
 
7: tomatoes 3 large (chopped)
 
8: salt 2-tsp
 
9: turmeric 1/2-tsp
 
10: red chilli powder 1-tsp (heaped)
 
11: cumin seeds 2-tbs
 
12: fresh coriander 1/2-cup
 
13: green chilli 3
 
14: garam masala powder 1-tsp
 

Instructions

  1. SHIMLA MIRCH WITH CHICKEN

     

    1: heat oil add onions, ginger & garlic paste, cumin seeds fry till gets golden on high flame.

    2: now add tomatoes, salt, turmeric, and red chilli mix and cook till the oil comes on the surface and the tomatoes reduce.
     
    3: add the chicken and cook till it changes colour, then add water cover and cook on medium flame till the chicken is completely cooked and little water is left.
     
    4: then add the bell pepper cover and cook on high flame so that the water dries and oil comes to the surface.
     
    5: garnish with fresh coriander, green chilli and garam masala mix well.
         
    6: serve hot
